We are like individual drops of water in the vastness of the ocean. Yet we are also at one with the ocean; sharing the same qualities as the ocean, but we individual drops are not the ocean. God’s energy flows through us, flows through All. By accessing that energy, you can know who you are. Invite that energy to be still within you and know that energy is the true you.

The earth and all it encompasses is created by God and is God. God is infused in All so All are God, or One. God is what gives life, the great animator, blessing us within and without with life energy. God is All. I am a drop of God. So are my brothers and sisters – all of creation. What I do to self, I do to all. What I do to another, I do to self and I do to all. We are not separate bodies; we are drops of rain with the potential of creating a flood over all the earth, a healing flood. Wash away attachment, desires, negativity, and criticism; wash away self-doubt in the ocean of God’s love.
As individuals, we voice the words and become the vehicles of communication. Jesus came into this world and proclaimed, “I am the Word….” Words are communication utensils to reach another’s mind and soul housed within separate physical bodies.
Our individual souls cry out for connection and oneness with nature and with God. Yet living in this physical plane we have bodies to care for, physical needs to be met: food, shelter, water, fresh air. Our current way of life is built on fear. We are afraid our needs will not be met; we are afraid of loss. We fear pain, suffering, and death. We fear starvation and want. We fear the natural world from lion attacks to tsunamis to viruses. We fear the loss or suffering of a loved one; we fear loss overall.
There is a small part in each of us that has not forgotten who we really are, a child of the Eternal One. In some of us this voice is so quiet we can no longer hear it. We are bound by the dictates of our culture, by our fears. In others the voice is louder and in still others the voice is Spirit. The voice sings of love and belonging until the heart overflows with love for All.
Many feel dissatisfaction with the current state of our world. Our disconnectedness from God creates emptiness within. We often try to find ourselves through various tonics like drugs, alcohol, and sugar. We also use excess of work and exercise, meaningless trysts, overeating, and shopping. We feel we are on a snowball rolling down an endless slope. Its momentum cannot be stopped, or the path diverted. There are many people sounding the alarm; we need to change. We need to change from a culture built on fear, to a culture built on love.
It feels like we are a part of something that cannot be reversed. Something that is outside our control, but it is not outside the power of God. Begin by vowing to whatever the name of your God, “My life is your life. Use my life to serve the greater good. I trust in you completely.”
The only way we can change is one person at a time; one individual to base their entire life on love, trust, oneness. And then another, and another. It is not too late. The way to return to Spirit is to embrace all that we experience in our earthly plane; whether we perceive it as good or evil.
Love is energetic; it is active. To love all that we experience requires active love, not merely a feeling of love, even though that is a good place to start. We can be active without moving a muscle. Prayer is active love in communion with the Divine. The more one participates in this, the closer one becomes to being the change and experiencing true Spirit. Once we have the capacity and capability of this type of Love we will no longer experience ourselves as separate individuals on this plane as we will have dissolved into the oneness of the Eternal.
