Live in Silence

" Live in the silence to experience the depth of one’s soul."

Words are symbols and can be used as labels that may create or fix mind sets or identity attachments. Labels express diversity but may also create discord. Categorizing creation to promote conceptualization potentially yields judgment and divisiveness. This happens when differences are viewed as something to fear and/or when the difference becomes an identity attachment. In spirit, Love is oneness, unity. Discord separates; Love unifies.

If we perceive words and language as a sacred vehicle of communication, we no longer vomit words without thinking of the impact they have. Language and communication are a gift that we may use to bolster one another, encourage, share needed information, and express love.

At this time in our culture, it is very noisy. Words are everywhere. We see them in the electronic media, hear them through our hand-held devices, see them on signs and billboards as we drive past, and on magazine covers as we check out in the supermarket. There are so many words and many, if not the majority, are meaningless. They take up space. They create confusion. They numb us so we become indifferent to the noise.

Imagine a world without words. Silence. Live in the silence to experience the depth of one’s soul. Let us spend more time in silence each day to open, commune, and softly touch the Eternal.
