Unite to Heal

First we must choose as individuals to put God first in our lives and then choose the same as a collective. Make God first before all else. What does this mean, especially when we do not agree on even the simplest of matters concerning God? There is now so much bloodshed over differences in regard to how we relate to our God.

If it is not Love, it is not of God, the Eternal One. If it causes discord instead of unity, if it causes argument instead of agreement, if it destroys versus heals, it is not of God. This applies in relation to one another, to this community and that community, to this nation and that nation; even, to us and to the plants, animals, waters, and very earth itself. If it is not Love, it is not of God. If it is creative, healing, unifying, uplifting, it is of God.

So then what is healing? Uniting together with the Divine.

We have not escaped the instinctual pulls of our biology, and we are often unconscious of them. Our natural, biological drives include the protection of me and mine and whatever falls under that category, including religious ideologies. It also entails our physical needs of food, shelter, and procreation; procurement and protection of these needs. Casting off the natural man, does not mean that we do not require these biological necessities, but only that we are placing them in perspective and balance with both the rest of our physical world, and our spiritual natures, as well. Casting off the natural man means placing one’s trust in the Creator of the Universe and becoming consciously eternally focused versus unconsciously physically focused.

Our innate longing is towards expansion. We can choose to live unconsciously or consciously. We can expand consciously. We access expansion through gifts of grace and open ourselves to these gifts through prayer and meditation, especially when engaging one’s heart in devotion and service.

Pleasures and comforts have become the priority over the sustaining of our natural world, over the care of our children as a collective, and the collective itself. We are no longer tribal, but fragmented. Concerned more with ourselves; what we can get, acquire and hold on to… even a piece of land, but also resources and even ideologies. We use ideology and even theology, not as sacred, but as a tool of power and acquisition and pseudo-unification. We have the masses, but we as a mass do not think collectively and holistically. We are fragmented from our own bodies, from our tribe, and from our physical world.

To heal this world we must reprioritize. We are a collective as well as individuals. We are children of God, our Creator. We have been blessed with free will. As a group, we can choose to together unite with God or pursue our own interests. Following one’s interests aren’t inherently self-centered if they are surrendered and in balance with the Eternal. When we choose collective self-centeredness above God, we will reap what we sow and will experience the natural consequences of our choices … thoughts, words, and deeds. May we learn to live as one in this world to create a heaven while on this earth.

God is our first and last and our everything. He is our priority in the All. If we live according to this, we will live in joy and peace. What I want to sing about to the world is imbalance and how we can rebalance ourselves individually, as a species and as a world … to take our place in God’s universe. All is of God, both good and bad. We must embrace both and balance each within and without.
