We Need to Change Now

This is the difficulty. For me God is not a word. God is overwhelming, stop-in-your tracks, take-over one’s soul, eyes leaking tears of joy, ecstasy. And my experience is just a hiccup in the eternal we call God. There is nothing equal to this in the material world. We seek this in so many ways, but there is no greater high, there is no greater fulfillment.

I pray all may be so overwhelmed. All I can do is pray. I wish to shout from the highest peak and for my voice to travel the world, yet I am humbled as there are so many others who are closer to God than me, who have lived exemplary lives, who serve and work and pray unceasingly. I see joy in many faces. I am humbled. Who am I to bring a message of the Eternal? So many have done it so well before me and do it so much better now. All I can do is add my one small voice to the mix and beg us all to bend our knees and pour out our hearts to the One who knows all. Find God wherever you look. Hear God in whatever you hear. See God. Know God. Serve God and Love God. Live in oneness with the Divine until you are harmonized with the Eternal.
Jesus, the saints, and prophets have been crying out for thousands of years for us to change – what will make us choose change? There are those who do not even believe in a God and many who believe, but do not make serving Him and one’s neighbor the priority. Accumulation has become a priority among many; others just work to live, to survive and at the end of the day are too exhausted to give thanks in prayer. Overwhelming grief at the suffering of loss has many questioning, "Where is God?" Others in this world are hungry and despairingly watch while their children starve. There are people who live in constant fear, where bombs and men with guns rule and create conditions of terror. Some of these men say they are killing in the name of God. Many have lost their homes to terror. Life is upside down.
We need to change Now.
